Vintage 1982 softcover
cookbook ~ Gazebo I Cookbook ~ 128 pages, by Rex Barrington,
illustrated by Tara Nolan. From what I can tell
in the introduction, Gazebo I was a restaurant (or possibly a B&B???)
located on Gay Street in Auburn, Alabama. The restaurant is no
more... there is a new restaurant at the same location named J. Williams
(per google). Contains a delicious collection of recipes, many of
which are unusual and sound positively scrumptious. Just to mention a few:
Apple Sandwich ~ Warsaws ~ Orange Balls ~ Mississippi Mud Cake ~ Sour
Cream Chicken ~ Crab or Shrimp Cocktail Pie ~Turnip Green Soup ~ Yam
Apples ~ Hot Curried Fruit ~ and lots more!
Condition as shown, covers a bit tanned along the edges, a bit of old
price sticker residue on the front as shown, slight edge wear, one page has paper clip indentation, overall
quite good condition.
